Dear Haley,
Back to 2018, in university days foundation was everything for me. It conceals and hide all my imperfections eg: redness, fullness and discolouration. I used to can’t live without foundation, like I won’t step out from the house without it on my face. On bad skin days, I would pack on more layers and I will look so caked up. Even with that I’m okay with the caked face because I wanna look flawles
s. However, this really took a toll on my skin. My face has gotten so red, rashes flared up and I was so blotchy. That’s why I started to realised that my skin needed a break from all those.
I started to follow your channel and rewatching all your video when you weren’t so active, then I realised minimalism is the way to go for healthy skin. Hence, I only incorporate a few stuffs in my routine. Cleanser > toner > serum > moisturiser until my skin has fully recovered. Then I started to add in spf and other active ingredients like vitamin C and etc. With this I also slowly cut away my foundation and use only concealers and blushes in my daily basis as my skin was getting better with proper care.
Right now in 2019, I’m working as an shadow aide and interventionist for children with special needs. Therefore, I do not have that much time anymore to pack on my base makeup and other stuffs in the morning. I also wouldn’t want to put on too many things cause I’m afraid some of the kids might be sensitive or allergic to it. So I still follow with my minimal skincare but I just added a tone up sunscreen from Kielhs and on days I have darker eye circle then I’ll go on with a concealer. I do definitely realised my skin is so much better compared to last year today. Haley, thank you so much for always recommending and practicing minimal skincare and routine that I can follow so easily. Your channel does really helped me a lot, not just in my skin but also my well- being. I do hope you know how much you’ve inspired me to go all minimalist in daily basis.
Lovely regards,
Chris Lee
