Hello Haley!

My name is Ashley Kim. I am 19 years old. I have not been wearing foundation for 6 months now! When I was in high school I used to wear a full face of makeup everyday - I even wore fake eyelashes on a daily basis too. This lasted for almost 2 years. After that I learned to tone down the amount of makeup I put on my face every morning but it was still significantly more than the average girl my age. I discovered your channel around the end of last year and I can confidently say that you are one of the influences that encouraged me to wear very little to no makeup everyday.

When I was younger, I was extremely insecure and concerned about my looks. I felt very comfortable and safe behind the makeup I put on, but I knew deep inside that I wanted to change that. Applying a lot of makeup on a daily basis is not at all a bad thing and I have a lot of friends that do so and are very skilled at it, but it was a matter of conquering my insecurities for me. Although I never had any serious troubles with my skin, I definitely notice a drastic change in my attitude towards skincare and embracing a barefaced look.

For the past half year, I have been only wearing a very small amount of concealer and eyebrow product on a casual daily basis. I have been feeling wonderful about this change and I hope to stick with it for the rest of my life.
