Hi Haley,
Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your content. Not only your outlook on skincare/makeup/life but the option to still be into beauty in a manageable way.
I am actually due to have my third baby at age 35 now and my skin has always been manageable. It was actually really good when I was pregnant with my first child, 5 years ago. I went into more skincare conscious and all the new products made my skin glow.
It was like that for a while, until 2 years ago, my skin broke out in many tiny bumps and became very sensitive. Products that worked before didn't anymore and irritated my skin instead. Every foundation and even sunblock broke me out, it was constant everyday. I have up thinking it was hormonal because of my second son and it will change later on.
But then I got pregnant with my third this year and my skin was still the same. It made me realize that maybe something is wrong.
Another content creator, Liah Yoo made me realize it might be fungal acne, so I've been working on getting my skincare to be safe for me and it was working a little bit. I was still using foundation when I went out so it didn't help my sensitive, itchy and breakout skin because I would break out every time I did this (happens to be multiple times a week).
It was not until I came upon your channel because we have the same skintone that I realized I could still vary my makeup and be creative without base makeup. Without base makeup, blushes, eyeshadow, and lip color can make it more interesting.
I think it has been a month now and pairing Liah skincare tips and your makeup no base tips, with both of your similar outlook helped me manage my skin a lot. I am finally seeing it clearing up and more glowy. Also as you start to get use to seeing yourself without base makeup everyday, it is not bad at all. I am looking forward to a healthy skin now and simple ways to express my creativity through simple routines.
I am always looking forward to seeing you create content and spread the simple routine but happy life idea.
-Kathy
